Exclusive skin treatment packages as a gift

Constantly striving balancing work life and home, her own needs and that of her family’s, modern mothers often are left with little or no time for themselves. In fact, they just forget to look after themselves, and this inadvertently shows on their face. So apart from gifting her expensive gadgets, designer wear and precious diamonds on this Mother’s Day, you might well pamper her with a luxuriating and exclusive skin treatment package, to bring back the missing glow on her face.

An IANS news report recommended giving it her as a special gift. It made following suggestions:

  • Beauty experts offer daily cleansing-toning-moisturising (CTM) packages as the ideal way to keep the skin healthy. For as little as Rs.400 to as much as Rs.2.5 lakh, there’s plenty to choose from to make this Mother’s Day special. One option is to visit a skin expert who can guide her about a skin care regime.
  • You can gift her a special Mother’s Day package from an Ayurvedic brand like VedicLine that offers OnTaut face pack, HandsOn hand cream and much more. The entire package would cost in the range of Rs.2,000.
  • If your mother is an adventurous type and okay with non-surgical treatments, take her to a good doctor for procedures like Botox and Juvederm beauty fillers. Dermatologist Indu Tolani suggests Juvederm for women above 60 as it gives volume to the face. This is a little more expensive with Juvederm fillers for 60-year-old women ranging from Rs.65,000 to Rs.2.5 lakh. It contains hyaluronic acid, which is a natural component of our skin. It fills up lines and takes care of sunken areas of face. It also gives a hydrated look.

The report also quoted Nikita Sharma, the Body Shop India’s make-up trainer, who gave some handy tips for skincare such as: thoroughly cleansing the skin so that it does not look lifeless and dull or else it will be more prone to blackheads and spots owing to clogged pores. Cleansing needs to be followed by a proper toning process. Toner tends to refine the pores. It goes to refresh, soothe and soften the skin, according to her. To make the skin supple and smooth, she suggests a moisturizer right after toning.
