Among the distinguished visitors who have made it a point to attend the Giftex show are senior level executives from leading commercial establishments, pharmaceutical firms, exporters, advertising agencies, and professionals like lawyers and architects as well as reputed personalities from the art and film world.

This year, to add to the value and vivaciousness of this exciting event, a special competition was staged on the first day (September 18, 2008). Special awards (including a Trophy and a Merit Certificate) were presented to the Top 10 Product categories displayed in the exhibition, and also to the winners of the six Best Decorated Stalls (including a Plaque and a Merit Certificate).

Judges for the competition were Mr. Ranjit Shahani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director and Country President Novartis India Limited; Mrs. Zeba Kohli, the owner of Fantasie Chocolates; Artist Ms.Laila Khan Rajpal; social Worker Mrs. Anita Sobti; and Executive Director Meersk India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Dinesh Lal.
